Back in May this year I got to work alongside one of Dorset’s most prestigious and creative visual artists, Madeleine Preston. Madeleine is a visual artist based in West Dorset specialising in painting, ceramics and textiles. She required a series of photographs of her latest work, a collection of beautiful room dividers which have been designed and hand crafted. These room dividers combine her love of botany and 1950s design, especially the work of Lucienne Day.
The photography was on location in a restored 17th Century rectory that complimented the screens perfectly. Almost all my work utilises the use natural light, using reflectors to bounce the light where needed alongside diffusers to reduce the light as necessary.
